This retreat is held at Miraval, a world-class wellness resort chosen intentionally to support the wellbeing of the providers attending. Between sessions, you'll enjoy:
Miraval is the perfect environment to learn deeply, breathe fully, and return home rejuvenated.
Dr. Meira Berman and Dr. Shira Levy are two general dentists who began working together, each with a foundation in airway dentistry. Over the years, we've found practical ways to bring that knowledge into the realities of a busy general practice.
What we've learned is that dentists can often give patients answers to longstanding concerns, along with a clear path forward. Our patients often express deep appreciation for finally having these issues identified.
As our understanding grew, so did our network. We now work closely with ENTs, PTs, and myofunctional therapists, who are essential for managing multifactorial airway issues. At this retreat, two ENTs will join us to share their perspective and show how dentists can work with medical colleagues to provide more complete care.
By the end of the retreat, you will feel:
You'll walk into your office on Monday morning with glowing skin, a calm mind, and a new dimension of dentistry at your fingertips.

What we've learned is simple but powerful: dentists are often one of the first healthcare providers to identify airway-related concerns. Patients frequently tell us they're grateful when someone finally connects the dots.
Our journey has led us to build a strong collaborative network of ENTs, PTs, and myofunctional therapists. All are essential partners in managing multifactorial airway issues. Two ENTs (general and pediatric) will join us at the retreat to share their perspective and demonstrate how dentists can collaborate meaningfully with medical colleagues.
Course Director
Meira holds her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania and has pursued advanced training through the Kois Center, the Clinical Mastery Series, and the University of Minnesota's postgraduate continuum. Her commitment to learning led her to airway, where she discovered its relevance across every aspect of patient care. She co-founded IAI (Integrated Airway Institute) around a simple conviction that the right people, the right setting, and focused time together can fundamentally shift how a dentist sees every patient who walks through the door.
Course Director
Shira sees patients at Elements Dental Studio in Evanston, Illinois, where airway, sleep, TMJ, and early orthodontic intervention define her practice. She came to this work through years of CE and a growing certainty that dentists are missing patients who need them. Her goal for attendees is simple: to leave with the ability to look at a patient they've seen a hundred times and recognize the airway in a whole new way.
ENT
Colleen built her practice around a belief that most healthcare systems don't make room for: great care should feel collaborative, unhurried, and genuinely human. Her path to airway work is personal as much as clinical, shaped by firsthand experience. She knows what it means to move through a world that wasn't quite designed for you, and that has shaped how she practices. She comes to the Integrated Airway Institute with the belief that when dentists understand the full impact of disrupted breathing, both on a patient’s health and on how they function and experience daily life, it can permanently transform the way they approach patient care.
Pediatric ENT
Micah leads the ENT division at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in Minneapolis, where his practice centers on pediatric airway, obstructive sleep apnea, and craniofacial conditions that require coordinated care across specialties. He trained at Penn, Cornell, Columbia, and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He comes to IAI after a career spent receiving referrals that often arrive too late, with the conviction that earlier recognition and understanding by dentists can change the course of care.
When you walk into your office on Monday morning, you will feel:
This retreat is your gateway to becoming the dentist who sees what others miss and starts conversations that truly matter.
